I’m going to a club/ house party/ beach.

One of the biggest things about open back dresses is knowing where to wear them to and where not to wear them to. In this article I will discuss the different places that fall in both sides of the argument.

 

First I will start with where you should ware an open back dress to. Open back dresses are mostly meant for dressy occasions like elegant clubs, semi formal events, and private parties. The backless dresses that I would suggest for these occasions are “the sexy dress, the clubbing dress, the cocktail dress, and the weeknight dress.” In my opinion these are the best dresses for the events I mentioned.
There are other events that open back dresses are fantastic for, e.g. a beach or pool party, a simple get together at a friend’s home, or a formal dinner. For these events I would recommend “the picnic dress, the weeknight dress, and the formal dress.” 

From what you can see I’m definitely suggesting that you not wear a sexy dress to a formal dinner, or a picnic dress to an elegant club. Each dress has been made with the intent of being used at specific events and locations.

Finally, the places that you shouldn’t wear an open back dress to are, a pub or sports bar, a country club, a sporting event (e.g. basketball or football game), and a funeral. Please remember that this is a fashion blog and I don’t mean these to be rules, but a better statement would be that they are guidelines for when and where to wear an open back dress. 

 

 

 

I want to show off my back because I have been working hard at the gym.

 

Now, here is one that not too many ladies are thinking about; wearing an open back dress because you would like to show off your back. Good news ladies, there is such a thing as a sexy back. Having a well toned back will give you a sensual appeal with every move you make. It will also have great emphasis on your butt, and everyone knows that the one of good things that comes from working out your back is that you tend to tone your butt muscles too. What better way to emphasize your butt and your back than wearing an open back dress.

 

Now if you just want to show off your back, any one of the open back dresses would be wonderful except for the mesh dresses. The mesh dresses are more for girls that would like to have the appeal of an open back dress, but would still like to not expose their bare back. But, I say if you have been working hard at the gym, FLAUNT YOUR STUFF!
